Several people have asked me how we're going in the lead-up to Laetitia's operation, so perhaps it's worth a quick update here.
At the moment Laetitia is finishing off a TESOL course and a TAFE subject, so she's busy enough to keep her from worrying too much about what's ahead. In another week or so, though, once the distractions are out of the way.. then it might be a different matter.
Me, I'm just glad we live in an age when heart surgery is a relatively routine operation - not without risks, certainly, but with a very good chance of being able to fix what's broken.
